Unlike any other ruler, Leto was not a human but a member of the merpeople, a unique race of creatures who dwelled beneath the waves of the seven seas. The merpeople, also known as Marinůs, were ancient beings with incredible powers and immortality. The Marinůs came in all shapes and sizes, each with their own distinct features and vibrant colors. Living thousands upon thousands of years. They possessed the ability to breathe underwater and navigate through the depths of the oceans with ease. Along with being able to control the water they inhabited. Their skin was adorned with intricate scale patterns and their eyes shone with the mesmerizing glow of underwater creatures. The Atreides, led by Leto, were a powerful and prestigious family that ruled over the merpeople. Their reign stretched across the vast oceans, encompassing both saltwater and freshwater territories. The merpeople followed the royals laws wherever they went, forming a loyal and devoted community. While the merpeople held sway over the sea, there were other races that inhabited the world. The Harnokenn, or sand prowlers, were orc-like beasts that controlled the sands and stones of the earth. They roamed the vast deserts, their powerful bodies moving effortlessly through the shifting sands. Next, there were the Magma Pyros, creatures made of rock and lava with control over all fire and heat. They dwelled in the depths of the planet's caves, their fiery forms illuminating the darkness. The Magma Pyros were known for their fiery tempers and their ability to harness and control the element of fire. Lastly, there were the air nomads, people who controlled the wind and predominantly lived on the surface of the earth. They soared through the clouds, their agility and grace unmatched by any creature. Although the Marinůs lived in harmony with the other 3 races, there was one group they considered to be their sworn enemies.
