There was an empty box of bullets strewn on the ground outside of the main doors and an unused double action revolver sitting three feet away from the site of her death. I’m not entirely surprised she went crazy. That fucking woman was always crying about this and that, and after Sal died she became a pain in the ass. All of her little boo-hoo horror show and she left me alone with a fucking poem.* *I looked through her poems, the ones she always kept in that secret fucking desk of hers that she never let me see.
