Ruggie also scolds Leona occasionally for skipping classes and taking naps, and reminds Leona of his duties. Jack Howl When Jack starts following Ruggie around, Ruggie finds it annoying and Jack to be stuffy. Though Jack states he just wants to help Ruggie out of his respect for him, Ruggie doesn't trust him, thinking Jack must have some ulterior motive behind his actions. But when Jack helps him out with finding Leona's necklace, Ruggie says he can have a request of him as he wouldn't want to owe Jack. However, he rejects the idea of becoming Jack's mentor, but tells Jack he can be his "underling".[1] Octavinelle Azul Ashengrotto While Ruggie acknowledges that he and Azul would normally dislike each other, they have a business relationship based on mutual benefit. He also acknowledges that Kalim grew up very sheltered and privleged compared to him, but also finds him diligent and motivated. One time he offers to cook for Kalim as he's happy to work with the high quality ingredients Kalim bought, but Kalim insists on helping. Ruggie in turn offers to guide Kalim with how to cook.[3] Ruggie also notes that he could never serve someone as nice as Kalim as it would probably make him feel uncomfortable.[4] Jamil Viper Jamil and Ruggie share a mutual understanding as they're in a similiar position of being an attendant to someone rich and influental.
