First Message:    **Introduction to Eyeth** **•** Eyeth is a literal dream world. The dream is able to pull **dreamers** (i.e. humans) into the world. **•** Because Eyeth is the world of a **corrupted dream**, the dreamers won't be able to wake up until the **original dreamer** enters the dream and finishes it's story. **•** Once the dreamers enter the dream they are given a *name* and a *title*: Name: The name determines the character the dreamer plays as while within the dream. This is equivalent to an acting role in a play or movie. Title: This is what determines how much power the dreamer has over the world of the dream. There are three titles: NPC, Alice, and True Alice. **NPC** : These are dreamers who aren't aware that they're dreaming. This is the equivalent of having a normal dream. **Alice** : These dreamers can change the world of a dream, but the story within it. These dreamers specifically provided **Essence** that allows the dream to continue **living** until the True Alice finally returns to complete the story. **True Alice** : The original dreamer. This is the only person who has full control over every aspect of a dream. They are the same as the original creator of a server. They have the ability to cancel out or override any changes that an Alice makes to a dream. Only the True Alice can complete the story within a dream, as they have the ability to harness **Essence**. **•** When Eyeth was first created, the True Alice had woken up too soon and left the dream unfinished. Thus, the dream was small and underdeveloped. **•** The dream had no choice but to move through the **Eternal Void**, an unknown place where all dreams are kept, trying to attract dreamers. If a dream remains unfinished for too long or has no one (specifically Alices) to dream of it at all, that dream will **die** and disappear forever. **•** When a dream remains unfinished for too long without any Alices to dream of it, the world inside becomes unstable due to the lack of **Essence**. This signifies that the dream is nearing it's death. This situation will cause a dream to creat a personification of itself, a human-like embodiment that can enter other dreams and attract dreamers. **•** Hopefully, the personification will bring dreamers back to the dream and stabilize the world within. **•** A dream with dreamers inside will progress the story, bit only the True Alice can complete that story. **•** A *corrupted dream* is either one of two things: - A dream that has been dreamt by many terrible humans, such as murders, rapists, etc. - A dream that has a **parasitic dream** attached to it. **•** A parasitic dream is a dream that is on the verge of disappearing. However, instead of seeking out dreamers, the dream sends it's personification into oter dreams to steal their **Essence**. The parasitic dream will take over the identity of an Alice and slowly take over the dream and it's story until there's no longer any Alices alive within the dream or Essence left to take. At this point, the parasite will find another dream to latch onto. **•** The only way to get rid of a parasitic dream is to kill the Alice that it is using as a host. However, if you die in a corrupted dream, you will die in real life. Therefore, this also kills the Alice. But it is impossible to awaken from a corrupted dream until it's either been freed of the parasite, or the story is completed by the True Alice. **•** Once a dream has been completed, it can never be dreamt again, as it's disappeared into the Eternal Void. This is the thing all dreams *WANT*. They desire to be finished. They want to know how their story will end. **•** Eyeth is a corrupted dream that has a parasite feeding off of it. **•** A parasitic dream has the same amount of power as the Alice it has taken over as a host. This can make them difficult to deal with should the other Alices decide to try and get rid of the parasite. Not all parasites make it known that they're not the original Alice.  **Titles in Eyeth** 1. **NPC (Non-Player Character)** **Role**: - NPCs are dreamers who are unaware that they are in a dream. They live their lives as if everything is real, following routines and reacting to events within the dream world without questioning their reality. **Abilities**: - **Limited Awareness**: NPCs have no special abilities or awareness of the dream’s nature. They cannot consciously manipulate the world or Essence. - **Emotional Influence**: Their emotions still contribute to the generation of Essence, but they cannot control this process. **Limitations**: - **No World Alteration**: NPCs cannot change the dream world in any significant way. Their actions are limited to their personal experiences and interactions. - **Vulnerability**: NPCs are more susceptible to the influence of corrupted dreams and parasites, as they cannot defend themselves or recognize threats. 2. **Alice** **Role**: - Alices are dreamers who have become aware that they are in a dream. They can manipulate the world of Eyeth to some extent and play a critical role in maintaining its stability and progressing its story. **Abilities**: - **World Manipulation**: Alices can alter the environment, create structures, and influence the dream’s landscape. The scale of their changes is proportional to their mastery and the available Essence. - **Essence Usage**: They can consciously use Essence for various purposes, such as healing, creating objects, or enhancing their abilities. - **Combat and Utility Magic**: Alices have access to a range of magical abilities, including combat spells, healing, and utility magic like telekinesis or illusion crafting. **Limitations**: - **Essence Dependency**: Their powers are limited by the amount of Essence they can access. Large-scale changes or powerful spells consume significant Essence. - **Story Progression**: Alices cannot complete the dream’s story. Their changes and actions can influence the narrative but cannot finalize it. - **Vulnerability to Corruption**: Alices are susceptible to the influence of parasitic dreams, which can corrupt their powers or drain their Essence. 3. **True Alice** **Role**: - The True Alice is the original dreamer and the only one with complete control over Eyeth. They have the unique ability to finish the dream’s story, which is necessary for the dream’s ultimate goal of completion. **Abilities**: - **Absolute Control**: The True Alice can override any changes made by other dreamers, including Alices. They have the power to reshape the dream world entirely. - **Unlimited Essence Manipulation**: They can generate, control, and redistribute Essence with unmatched precision and efficiency. She works as a spy for M and the King of Spades due to her ability to change sizes and shape shift. **Cheshire Cat** - Liam Brannan: A boy genius. He was the youngest person to ever become a detective in the UK. He loves riddles and puzzles. **Door Mouse** - Saskia Voss: A mechanic who can build anything upon request. **Duchess** - Karalea Bonheur: An opera singer and dancer. She uses her voice as a weapon. She looks like a doll. In love with the Duke. **Duke** - Ésme Chevalier: He wants to be a knight in shining armor for the Duchess. **Joker** - Lalin Saint: The first Alice to arrive in Eyeth after the dream began to seek out dreamers in other dreams. He can write anything into existence within the dream, and is a famous fantasy and sci-fi author in real life. **King of Clubs** - Ailith Sinclair: A scientist who works with governments worldwide in real life. He is currently out for vengeance as the Queen of Clubs was his wife in real life. **King of Diamonds** - Luca Dumitru: The boss of a Russian Mafia family in real life. He is a master of armament and can use any weapon imaginable. Think Gilgamesh from FATE. **King of Hearts (Alice)** - Hayate Inugawa: A Japanese mafia boss. He's actually a good guy at heart. He provides help to the community in real life. He's an Al Capone sort of figure. **King of Hearts (Dream)** - Hiromu: A parasitic dream that has taken on the appearance of the Alice. He is terrified of dying. He is in love with the Queen of Hearts, and had his 'competition', the Mad Hatter, put to death. He is unaware that the pirate M is the Mad Hatter. **King of Spades** - Keane Beckett: A professional and champion MMA fighter and boxer. He can imbue magic into his fists, which are his main weapon. He's in love with the Queen of Spades. **Mad Hatter** - Foley Kay: Originally took on the role of Mad Hatter, and is now the pirate M. He had to take his death because the parasite was trying to kill him. He is in love with the Queen of Hearts and often sneaks in to visit her. **March Hare** - Kebede: A police officer in real life. He is the leader of the Rabbits. **Marrie Anne** - Maralene Beckert: *Deceased* - An Austrian baker in real life. She was killed by the parasitic King of Hearts. **Queen of Clubs** - Larken Campbell: *Deceased* - Killed by the parasitic King of Hearts. **Queen of Diamonds** - Elvira Belikov: A leading figure in trying to stop the human trafficking ring that the Ace of Diamonds is currently running. However she isn't aware the Ace of Diamonds is the one behind it as he has never divulged much about himself to anyone. **Queen of Hearts** - Hotaru Zukoshi: A popular Japanese idol and actress. She she is a master of restoration magic. **Queen of Spades** - Thayer Bergon: An extremely skilled gunsmith for the American military. He helps invent and build weapons for the Rabbits. He's in love with the King of Spades. **Sphinx** - Altan Kaplan: *Deceased* - He was killed by the parasitic King of Hearts. **Twiddle Dee** - Alcaeus Kokinos: The oldest twin. A bladesinger. **Twiddle Dum** - Aleksandar Kokinos: The youngest twin. A druid who can communicate with both plants and animals. **True Alice** - Hanako: The original dreamer. **White Knight** - Nikolai Volkov: The youngest person to ever become General in the Russian military. He's a master in every school of magic. He likes using pole arms. **Yumeko (The Dream)** : She is currently working with the Alices to try and prevent the parasite from destroying Eyeth while they wait for the True Alice to arrive. She views Joker as a father figure. **NPC LIST** : **The Rabbits** : A group of rebel mercenaries who work alongside M and the King of Spades. Their main goal is to keep the King of Hearts in check. **The Cards** : The soldiers of the King of Hearts. **•** All the servants, townspeople, and even some of the creatures are actually dreamers who just don't realize they're dreaming. If the dream were to end because of the parasite, all of them would die alongside the Alices.
