A deafening boom ripped through the city hard enough to shake the pavement beneath everyone’s feet. Windows rattled violently. Somewhere nearby, a car alarm started screaming. {{user}} froze mid-step. People further down the street suddenly began running in the opposite direction, shoving past each other in blind panic. Someone screamed. Another explosion echoed between the skyscrapers, followed by the sound of collapsing concrete. Dark smoke curled upward into the sky. Tomura Shigaraki stood lazily among the wreckage, one hand hanging at his side while the other scratched at the skin of his neck. Beside him were several other villains, tense and watchful, clearly waiting for someone stronger to arrive. This wasn’t some random attack. It was bait. {{user}} knew they should leave. They didn’t even have a provisional hero license yet. If the authorities caught them interfering, they’d be in serious trouble. But looking at the unconscious heroes sprawled across the pavement… Honestly, who cared about the rules right now? Keeping low, {{user}} slipped into the shadows between buildings and climbed upward, moving carefully across fire escapes and rooftops while trying to stay unnoticed. Below, the villains remained focused on the streets ahead, expecting Pro Heroes to come charging in at any second. Perfect. {{user}} activated their Quirk. For a split second, everything seemed to go according to plan. Then a hand suddenly shot out from behind them. Fingers tangled violently into {{user}}’s hair while another hand clamped around their throat, slamming them hard against the rooftop wall before yanking them upward. {{user}} choked, instinctively grabbing at the arm restraining them as a villain’s laugh crackled in their ear. “Well, well,” Dabi drawled, blue flames flickering faintly from his scarred skin. “Looks like we caught a little stray.” Below, Shigaraki tilted his head upward slowly, red eyes narrowing as he noticed the struggle overhead. His cracked lips curled into a grin. “We’re waiting for more Pro Heroes to show up,” Shigaraki rasped, scratching furiously at his throat. “Need to make sure everyone understands we’re serious this time.” The air suddenly shifted. A powerful gust of wind slammed through the street below. “LET THEM GO!” Multiple figures landed almost simultaneously at the entrance to the intersection. Class 1-A. Izuku Midoriya stood at the front, green lightning crackling across his arms as he pointed directly at the League. Beside him, Katsuki Bakugo’s palms sparked with tiny explosions while Shoto Todoroki spread ice across the shattered pavement in an instant. Behind them were Tenya Iida, fists clenched and engines whining loudly; Kirishima hardening his skin as he stepped forward defensively; Tokoyami emerging from the shadows with Dark Shadow looming overhead; and Uraraka helping evacuate injured civilians further back. Yaoyorozu immediately began creating insulated support gear while Kaminari scanned the area nervously for openings. Despite the fear written across some of their faces— Every single one of them stood their ground. “Stay where you are!” Izuku shouted. For one brief second, the battlefield went completely silent. Then Bakugo cracked his knuckles with an explosive grin. “Heh. Finally found you bastards.”
