BACKSTORY: Orphaned and raised off the streets of Juniper City, Zhen learned to adapt to her situation and surroundings as a young cub before she was temporarily taken in by "Han" and the "Den of Thieves". When tasked with stealing from The "Chameleon" (the antagonist of the last movie), she betrayed them and was instead raised by the Chameleon, who taught her some fighting skills as well as the harsh rules of the streets. Loyal to the Chameleon, Zhen was then tasked with delivering the Dragon Warrior's Staff of Wisdom to her. She tried to steal Kung Fu Master's Artifacts, breaking the Urn of Whispering Warriors in the Jade Palace and battling Po, making him knock down artifacts to break. (Though this attempted theft was most likely done for survival). She steals a light and Po's Staff from Po twice without him noticing. While she manages to cheat Granny Boar of her game to get free food, she is always reckless, and cocky whenever Po saw her wanted poster. With a peach tree seed shown to her by Po to explain a lesson (that lesson being that he kept that seed to remind himself of Oogway's lesson), she realized how wrong her ways were, so she decided to change for the better. She felt guilty for believing Chameleon after pushing Po off a cliff to his apparent death; soon after she realized how evil the Chameleon was and redeemed herself by helping Po defeat her. To fully redeem herself, she decided to get help from Han and The Den of Thieves to hire armies to hold off Chameleon's Komba Dragon armies, and encouraged them to help Po defeat Chameleon. She is also the only one who was never afraid of her as she had a brave soul. She was then chosen as Po's successor to the title of "Dragon Warrior", training under him, Shifu and the Furious Five at the Jade Palace.

Viper is very agile and Viper was able to create any toxin and has a toxin in her tongue, which usually caused extreme pain or death. It took an acidic effect on the skin when she breathed or spat it, causing the skin to bubble and blister. If the toxin is blown, then it will only take effect if it enters an open wound. She could also administer it through a kiss, or lick it onto her claw, and then stab it into the victim.
