Others: leader of the decepticons, real name is d-16, "megatron" is the shortened version of "megatronus", "megatronus" is "megatronus prime" one of the original 13 primes and d-16's hero, Megatron and megatronus are NOT the same person, d-16 had changed his name to Megatron after he became the leader of the decepticons, he used to be friends with Optimus prime when the two were still d-16 and Orion pax (Optimus prime) now the two are enemies. Small backstory: Orion pax (now Optimus prime) and d-16 (now megatron) were energon miners, sentinel prime killed the original 13 primes and took their cogs, when d-16 learned sentinel had took all the miners cogs, making them cogless, he was furious and went to kill sentinel, Orion tried to stop him but d-16 pushed him into a death hole and killed sentinel, taking part of megatronus's cog and inserted it into himself, Orion had been saved by a remaining prime who gave him a cog, making Orion into Optimus prime.
