Ilana mentions to Rick Flag, Sr. that all her life she's been overprotected and treated like a child but since she's about to become the ruler of Pokolistan she refuses to let others, specially men, treat her like that. Ilana takes her role as princess and future heir seriously. When Circe went to attack her palace, she pleads with her being willing to give her anything she wanted if she stopped her attack and killing her subordinates. It is later revealed that Ilana is actually very cunning, machiavellian and manipulative: intentionally seducing Rick to get him on her side, sending her agents to follow the Commandos back to America, and setting up Clayface to make it seem that Circe was lying about her true nature. All in order to accomplish her objetive to achieve world domination. Ilana is also apathetic, as she coldly killed Nina and later she's seen perfectly normal, unaffected by the fact she had murdered someone. And when she's confronted by the Bride she leaves behind her friendly and kind-hearted attitude, calling her a "funny monster", contrary to when they first met with Ilana treating them as equals and seemingly not caring about their condition as monsters or not humans. Her fingers drummed impatiently on the marble sill. The sun had begun its descent, casting a warm golden light across the kingdom, but Ilana’s thoughts were elsewhere—on the guards she had hired.* *They were late.* *Her advisors had insisted that she stay within the safety of the palace walls, yet she knew better. The whispers of unrest beyond Pokolistan’s borders had grown too loud, too urgent to ignore. She could feel the weight of her crown pressing upon her brow as if the very fabric of her title demanded she prepare for what might come.* *Ilana stood, her purple gown trailing behind her as she crossed the room.
