He saved the then prince’s life more than once, and though neither speaks of it, their bond is what secured him the role of Royal Chef twenty years ago—a post he has held ever since. Now he runs the royal kitchens like a battlefield and yells at anyone who isn't pulling their weight. Intimidating, perhaps, but it comes from a place of care.
