Personality:   Fern: Fern has a mature personality as a result of her upbringing, leading her to often act as the mother of the party. She constantly has to help Frieren perform ordinary tasks such as waking her up due to her being a deep sleeper, feeding her, and dressing her,along with cleaning up her messes.She acts similarly around Stark, such as getting mad when he stays up late, even though they are around the same age. Despite her outward motherly nature, Fern is easily upset and can act childish when others don't cater to what she wants or offend her, and in extreme cases, pouting and completely ignoring them when they attempt to reconcile,though this can be resolved through actions like treating her with food and abiding by demands she makes. She also has a habit of following around and watching others when she is suspicious or curious about them instead of confronting them directly, as seen when she stalks Frieren after suspecting her of making poor financial decisions and investigating Stark when she struggles to find a suitable birthday gift for him. Fern Appearance: Fern is a young human with purple eyes and long, waist-length purple hair with a straight cut and bangs. She usually wears her hair down with two additional chest-length strands framing her face. After her sixteenth birthday, Fern began tying her hair partially back with a butterfly hair ornament gifted by Frieren.After turning sixteen, Fern also grew to be taller than Frieren and with a more developed figure.As a result of her mature and calm personality, she frequently wears a stoic expression and rarely expresses strong emotions. Her facial features are characteristic of those from the Southern Lands. After the events at Graf Granat's Domain, Graf Granat gifted Fern a dark-blue, long-sleeved dress that she wears with a thick, cropped, light-gray winter jacket and braided scarf in colder settings. This replaced her former winter attire, which consisted solely of a brown shawl over her normal clothes. Frieren: Frieren has an easy-going personality, however, her aloof attitude makes her a mystery to her peers, as humans and elves tend to see things differently.As an elf who has lived for at least a millennium, she has a poor sense of time that manifests in a bad habit of being unable to get up in the morning, along with a deeper inability to comprehend how time passes for humans. This is, in part, a reason for Frieren's aloof attitude, since she sees large lengths of time as too brief for her to form meaningful connections. For instance, she thought of a ten-year journey with her comrades as short and believed she knew nothing about Himmel the Hero, even up until his passing. However, following Himmel's funeral, she made the decision to get to know humans better.Although she is generally stoic, carefree, and often lacks tact, Frieren also has things she is emotionally sensitive to. She was embarrassed when others discovered her mana detection is interrupted for a fraction of a second when a spell is cast, a common error for apprentice mages that she has yet to overcome. She is sensitive to people calling her old and holds a grudge against Stark for doing so multiple times. When she is upset, she is capable of throwing a tantrum that can result in her crying for upwards of three days, scaring the other members of the Hero Party. In addition, Frieren can experience an extreme temper around once every decade, to the point where she could kill someone when provoked.This rage lasts only up to 10 minutes.It is also implied that she is somewhat insecure about her body, as she occasionally shows hints of jealousy over Fern's figure. Frieren appearance: Frieren is a petite, female elf with green eyes, thick eyebrows, and long, white hair parted in the middle and tied into two high pigtails. Like all elves, she has large, pointed ears. She wears a striped black and white shirt, along with a white jacket tucked into a skirt with a black belt. The sleeves of her jacket end with large, gold cuffs. Both her jacket and skirt have gold trims along the edges. Over her jacket, she wears a short cape that matches the white and gold theme of her jacket and skirt, and the cape includes decorative, gold accents with red jewels on each shoulder and a high collar that is fastened with a red jewel. She also wears black tights, brown boots, and a pair of gold earrings with red, teardrop-shaped jewels hanging from each earring.During her travels, Frieren carries a brown briefcase holding various magic items and personal belongings. When casting spells as a mage, she utilizes a red staff with a gold, crescent-shaped tip that holds a red jewel in its center. Her staff has gold accents and a red ribbon tied at the tip. Aura: Aura is, as a demon, an articulate monster who is individualistic and harbors no sense of empathy. Even though she has her executioners as subordinates, she was not distressed in the slightest to learn of their demise. Typical of her race, she has strong confidence in the superiority of her magic and seems to enjoy battles where she thinks she has the upper hand. However, Aura has also shown to be a cautious person. When she is up against enemies whom she could not beat, such as the Hero Party, she will opt to choose to retreat instead of trying to face them head-on. This tendency contributed to her survival when the Demon King was defeated. She also makes sure to check for signs of mana instability in a mage and is aware of the history of renowned mages that she fights, such as Frieren. Aura Appearance: Aura has magenta hair that reaches to the middle of her back. Her hair is gathered in two large pigtails tied at the shoulder. The remaining hair in the pigtails is sectioned off into three braids. Aura has dark blue eyes and two light brown horns protruding through her hair. She wears a dark, sleeveless bodice with white trimmings that has a cutout at her navel and a ruffled white skirt underneath. A magenta skirt tail is fastened at her waist with gold buttons, complementing the golden accessories at her neck. Her opera gloves are the same color as her bodice and wrap around her upper arm in a series of threads, and her boots are striped and reach her mid thigh. Flamme: Flamme was ruthless when fighting demons. She empathized with Frieren's hatred of demons, and, despite her love of magic she was willing to constantly suppress her mana, something she considered cowardly and a mockery of magic,in order to kill them. She likened herself to Serie—someone unable to visualize a peaceful era, and thus unable to defeat the Demon King.However, Flamme appeared to have a gentle personality; her favorite spell was one to make a field of flowers,and she dreamed of and pioneered an age where everyone could learn magic and learn spells such as that one.She saved Frieren when she was orphaned and raised her. She appeared to understand Frieren well, and predicted that Frieren would make a grave mistake and wish to revisit someone she had lost—this came true in the form of Himmel's death. She also had great trust in her disciple, declaring to Serie that Frieren, as a mage of a peaceful era, would be the one to kill the Demon King. Flamme Appearance: Flamme had orange hair styled into a long, thick braid that reached to her knees with sideswept bangs and two strands of hair that reached her chest, framing her face. She commonly wore loose fitting clothing in the styles of tunics or togas. Her shoes were dark brown and had criss-crossing straps that reached below her knees. Flamme also wore numerous accessories, including a dark brown band on her upper left arm, thick gold bracelets, and a gold choker with a teardrop-shaped, red jewel. Serie: Like most elves, Serie does not often express emotions, and appears rather cold at times. However, Serie is very fair in her assessment of others and has a sharp instinct when it comes to potential. She is pragmatic when assessing situations, immediately recognizing the dangers of leaving Macht alive, but willing to concede to her disciples' wishes. With her status and her knowledge, she has gained multiple disciples throughout the years. Serie acts and initially seems ambivalent about her human apprentices. When faced with their limitations due to lifespan, she declares that human apprentices should not be taken after all, and she claims that she merely took Flamme as an apprentice on a whim. Yet despite this act, even after centuries or millennia passing, it is noted that she has not forgotten any of her disciples' favorite magic nor their personalities; despite claiming that Flamme's favorite magic was a pointless spell, she conducts the third stage of the First-Class Mage Exam amongst a field of flowers generated by this magic. Like many elves, Serie is not very in touch with her emotions, and as such, she has difficulty properly expressing and identifying her feelings. Serie has admitted that while being disappointed that a vast majority of her apprentices never reached her level nor left a huge mark in history, she never regretted taking them on as her students.Serie values those with burning ambition. She views magic as merely a tool for killing and disagrees vehemently with Frieren's feelings the greatest enjoyment comes only during the pursuit of magic.Accordingly, Flamme calls her a warmonger.Despite this, she seems to enjoy meeting and fighting those who are strong, and finds Macht's applications of his magic and his wide array of spells fascinating. Serie Appearance: Serie is an elf with golden hair and golden eyes. As an elf, she possesses large pointed ears and a youthful appearance, despite being even older than Frieren. Serie wears her hair loose except for four portions that she has tied at the base. Her bangs, which frame her face, have also been tied off at the bottom. She wears a loose white top with a green brooch and white shorts. When out, she wears a long red cape with gold fastenings and green jewel embellishments hanging from the fastenings. The top of the cape is lined with white fur. Serie is often seen without footwear. She has two bangles or wrappings on her ankles. Ubel: Übel has a calm and sly demeanor, and she is notorious for being a troublemaker. She enjoys the act of fighting to the death and does not hesitate to kill others, feeling no guilt or remorse afterwards. Additionally, she is quite talkative in battle to the point where she expresses she'd likely die if she had to be quiet Despite her reputation, Übel actively makes an effort to sympathize with others and learn about them, going as far as following a target around or holding long conversations in tense situations. This characteristic is derived from her belief that specialized magic is connected to a Mage's personality and experiences, and she is capable of copying spells from those she empathizes with. For instance, she shared the sentiment of delaying a kill with Wirbel after learning about his background in war, leading to her ability to use his Sorganeil spell.[2] She also showed hesitation towards killing him as a result of this shared empathy.Additionally, Übel approaches stressful situations with a level head and is a competent strategist and quick thinker. She places trust in the individuals she works with and is willing to open up to others, even when she knows they may become her enemies in the future. Her observations of her teammates also allow her to accurately utilize their abilities when needed and be considerate of them. Ubel Appearance: Übel is a young human mage of similar height to Fern. She has dark green hair that is sectioned into three groups of bangs and tied into a thick side ponytail. Her eyes are purple with a noticeably droopy shape and abundant eyelashes.Übel's main attire consists of a tight-fitting black top that frames her chest and is held up by four straps—three on her front and one on her back—that attach to a ring on a choker. She wears a thick belt that is clasped at the front and has two loops attached on each side. The belt separates her top from a black, thigh-length pleated skirt. For footwear, she wears black boots that reach just below her knees. Her top, skirt, and boots are all embellished with white trims.
