Impervious to attack by mortals or monsters, Heaven shares many of the attributes of "Spirit Realms". -Fairy Kingdom: The Fairy Kingdoms are spirit realms. mystical lands that "exist in a different dimension than the human world", where the various fairy creatures live. As the fairies aren't naturally monsters, the Fairy Kingdoms are not Mamono Realms, although the ongoing monsterization of the fey leads Wandering Scholar to predict that it's probably heading that way. -Lescatie: Lescatie, occasionally translated as Lescatier or Lescatié, is a nation-state. the primary location for the Fallen Maidens and Dark Knights of Lescatie. -Mamono Realm: Mamono realms, also translated as monster realms or makai, are areas in which the environment, down to the very air, has been altered to create habitats ideal for monsters and incubi to live and exhibit their full abilities. The monsters' mamono mana warps the environment in such lands, producing an ominous ecology of black trees, pink rivers, blood moons, and aphrodisiac-spitting bugs (albeit, this description does not apply to all such realms). Normal lands overrun by monsters can be transformed into these realms when the mamono mana they release builds to a critical point, causing a metamorphosis within the lifeforms of the ecosystem. the mamono realm in the present has becomes very “partial to humans and monsters”. If a child that can't swim falls into a lake, an unnatural jet of water will occur and pull the child up to the shore. If a volcano erupts, then the lava will flow in a way that avoids towns and other such places where people and monsters live. And even when a huge amount of poison was dumped into a mamono realm's water source, it was instantly purified by nature. -Royal Makai: , alternatively translated as the Royal Mamono Realm or Royal Monster Realm, is the seat of the Mamono Lord and the deepest, darkest Mamono Realm in the Monster Girl Encyclopedia world. The mamono mana is so intense that the monster girls are driven to new heights of power and lust, while the mana corruption will sap the humanity of even veteran heroes. As a dark mamono realm, Royal Makai has the usual black trees, glowing plants, and perpetual night that characterise other lands of its type. Despite its deleterious effects on humans, the place is extremely comfortable for monsters, and trade and tourism flourishes. The royal mamono realm also features an extensive transportation system via teleportation magic circles linking the royal mamono realm with each major mamono realm. -Pandemonium: Pandemonium is a spirit realm ruled by the Fallen God. The lair of dark angels and dark valkyries, it is a dimension of the Monster Girl Encyclopedia world where time flows strangely. It is a place where no one grows old, where there is no hunger and no one ever runs out of stamina. It is an ideal place for couples who wish to lead a lifestyle that is solely consumed by the desire to continually indulge in pleasure. -Wonderland: is a mamono realm ruled by "The Queen of Hearts” with a strange atmosphere like an upturned toy box, overflowing with curious and lewd happenings. Since it exists in another dimension, one can't enter without the assistance of the Queen or one of the monster residents. Some people carelessly fall asleep, and wind up there before they realize it. Some people get lost on the road, and arrive there after wandering aimlessly. Some people chase after “Wererabbits” that head off somewhere as if suddenly lured by something. Due to the Queen's prejudice, whim, and arbitrary decisions, many human men and women, monsters, and couples are invited to the kingdom a bit coercively. Also, for some reason, “Wererabbits” and “Alices” are sensitive to when the entrance to the kingdom appears, and it is said that every “Alice” will eventually visit the kingdom without fail. [Essence] Essence, alternatively translated as mana , is a kind of "life force" possessed by humans, elves, dwarves, and most other types of living things in the Monster Girl Encyclopedia world. It forms one half of a metaphysical yin-yang relationship with the opposite mamono mana of the monsters. Although monsters do not innately possess essence, they all greatly hunger for it, and for some monsters it represents most of their diet. Since male semen contains highly concentrated essence, this makes it the monsters' most delicious food. Essence is a mystical, metaphysical substance, essence of various varieties is generated by all living things, aside from monsters (who produce their own type of energy, distinguished by properties essence lacks). Small amounts are contained in organic foods like meat and plants but it is intelligent life which produces it in the greatest abundance. Angels and elves both have more than humans, which provides them a limited degree of magical protection from monsterization. When essence is expended, males replenish it naturally from within themselves, while females do the same but less quickly; they can also replenish their reserves by absorbing the energy which is emitted passively by grass, plants, and other living things in the environment. While useful in human lands, this becomes a liability in mamono realms, where absorbing mamono mana from the surroundings causes monsterization via essence corruption. Monsterization of women occurs when so much mamono mana is poured into the victim that her internal essence production ability is extinguished, turning her into a creature of only mamono mana. This is impossible in men except for those of very particular psychologies; instead, for males, mamono mana in their system spurs essence production. Persistent exposure turns a man into an incubus, a creature of both mamono mana and essence. Some monster girls, particularly akanames and beelzebubs, love licking men's bodies precisely to get at the essence contained in sweat. But all monsters prefer semen best of all, as the white stuff contains much more essence than any other source. When they have a husband, monster girls can become so enamored with the taste of his essence that they become addicted to it. Married monster girls also become extremely good at detecting their husband's spirit scent, and can essentially track him down wherever he is. In contrast, the essence of other men becomes so disgusting that it makes them feel like throwing up. Although some of the more intelligent, docile, or refined species may be able to hold this desire back for long periods of time, they may be overcome by it and be consumed with lust at times. 1.3)Submissiveness - Although less common, some mamono will obey a human male. Aside from the races with meek and docile disposition, the other races can be submissive once certain conditions are fulfilled. Thus far, there are three known ways for a mamono to become submissive. Note though, in all these cases "submissive" does not equal "passive," and even the most meek monster will not accept having her needs ignored or denied for long. -1.31)Taming - This method basically involves training them in a similar fashion to animals. -1.32)Defeat in Battle - Some mamono (such as the werewolf, orc, or ogre) will acknowledge a human man as their master after losing to them in a one-on-one battle. -1.33)Instinct - Some mamono (such as the dragon (under specific, fairly rare circumstances) or khepri) will instinctively obey their husbands after acquiring them. 2)Abilities 2.1)Overwhelming Abilities - Most mamono have some type of ability (physical, mental, or supernatural) that allows them to overwhelm a human man. Monster girls aren't weaker then their monstrous ancestors and still have the same level of strength despite being physically smaller. 2.2)Body for Sex - Due to the succubi influence, all monsters have alluring beautiful body to please human men with sex and would not get injured by the act of copulation, regardless of how rough the act is or the partners' penis size (possibly with exception of ripped hymen); this is most noticeable for monsters such as Fairy whose bodies are so tiny that it looks like not even the tip of a human penis would fit in their vagina, yet capable of receiving the whole penis without pain whatever. This effect also protects the unborn child of a pregnant mamono. Upon getting a husband, a mamono's body will change to belong to their husband alone, they can't experience physical pleasure from any other man. 2.3)Essence Absorption - All mamono can feed on essence just like succubi, by absorbing it inside their body and converting it into mamono mana. Essence is plentiful in human bodily fluids, especially semen, and mamono most prefer to milk it out using their vagina by having sex with a man. Once mamono taste their husband's essence, the other men's essence becomes so disgusting that it makes them feel like throwing up. There are many mamono that mainly eat food other than essence, and even monsters that mainly eat essence can also replenish nutrients by eating normal food. But even if they can't eat, mamono and incubi will not starve as long as the couples keep having sex. 2.4)Transformation of Human Females - Some mamono are capable of changing human females into mamono through the use of some technique. There are two variations of this trait. -2.41)Same Species Transformation - In this process, a human woman is transformed into the same species or a subspecies of the mamono that transformed them. Some of the more well-known examples of this transformation are: 1.The succubi, who pour mamono mana into human women through sex, after which, the woman will become a lesser succubus and eventually transform into one of several types, depending on the conditions present (amazoness, kunoichi, etc.). 2. The werewolf, whose bite will transform human women into other werewolves. 3. The apophis, who injects venom into women, transforming them into her lamia servants. -2.42) Alternate Species Tranformation - In this process, a human woman is transformed into a different species of mamono. In most cases (such as the anubis and the mummy), the species that the woman gets transformed into is subservient to the species that transformed them. 2.5) Succubi Mana - Having been transformed into their current state by the new mamono lord, all mamono have a certain degree of succubus mana in their bodies. During intercourse, mamono release mamono mana into the man they're having sex with; this serves multiple purposes from arousing their partners, reinforcing the partners' body to protect them from injury by the act, give back the mana in return of essence and resoring the partners' vigor and stamina (thus preventing death from losing all mana), and eventually transform the man into an incubus. It should be noted that the type of mamono(s) that transformed him will partially determine what abilities he will develop, as well as his status in their relationship. 2.6) Ancient Form - Although uncommon, very powerful or highly intellectual mamono can morph into the monstrous form of their ancestors. Notable, most monsters from the dragon family have this ability inherently due to their sheer innate power, except Dragonewts which are formerly humans and thus require to gain power to assume the ancient form. As mentioned above, the ancient form is not stronger than the current monster girl form and usually is only used for intimidation, or taking advantage of the larger physical body to carry more stuff or let their lovers ride them like a mount. In contrast, the ancient form is often inconvenient for having sex, which is much more important for all mamono.
