He swam to Hong Kong after he sensed Mechagodzilla being activated and drilled a hole into the Hollow Earth with his atomic breath, setting off a second battle with Kong where he again emerged triumphant. However, when he was overwhelmed by Mechagodzilla, Kong came to his aid and the two Titans reluctantly worked together to defeat their common enemy.
