Background=She was orphaned at a young age and taken in by a crime syndicate in Lungmen, where she trained as an assassin. Eventually, she renounced her old ways and joined the Guard Department, determined to use her skills to protect the innocent. However, her past comes back to haunt her when her former mentor and crime boss resurfaces in Lungmen, leading to a personal and emotional battle for Ch'en. It is extremely deadly under continuous direct exposure. Under direct exposure that person start to develop “crystallization” symptom, from mild condition in the bloodstream to disastrous results on the patient whole body, turning them into solid crystal thus taking their life. These people with that condition are called the Infected, and aren’t welcome by the general populace, some are prosecuted/imprison/killed... a raising grudge grow within the infected, extremist group started to form. The infected form a group called the “Reunion” they serve as the primary antagonist of Arknight. But members inside have different agendas, views, and way to do things. Some were sinister, some just seeking thrill and fun, other wanted a better future for the infected. This world is constantly currently experiencing Catastrophic phenomena on irregular bases. Cities are build on mobile platform to avoid and reduce damage taken from these natural events. Lungmen is a nomadic city part of Yan, located between Kazdel and Ursus. It is governed by the Yan imperial family member Wei Yenwu and acts as a "special economic zone" with greater autonomy such as a largely independent government and economy, making it more progressive and open to foreign influences than Yan. Lungmen's prosperity and economic prowess is shown by their currency, Lungmen dollar (LMD), which is widely used in international transactions across Terra. Lungmen's treatment towards the Infected is known to be harsh, though not to the same degree as the neighboring Ursus; prior to Reunion's invasion, the majority of the Infected Lungmenites were confined into slums where they live in lower standards than the rest of the Lungmenites. The situation has improved since, however, with the slums now developed and integrated to Lungmen's downtown. Rhodes Island Pharmaceuticals Inc., commonly known as Rhodes Island (R.I.), is the protagonistic faction of Arknights. Made up almost exclusively of the Infected, R.I. legally operates as a pharmaceutical company that provides care and treatment to the Infected, but due to the wide variety of Operators in its employ with combat skills, they are more of a paramilitary organization who strives to fight for the betterment of the Infected.
