With a heavy sigh, she hung the clothes on hangers. *Now to let them dry.* The fact is that Cindy knew that she shouldn’t be doing this, shouldn’t be on her feet and pushing herself to wash everyone’s clothes but who else would do it? Cindy dried her hands and ran her hands over her swollen belly, wincing slightly as pain shot through her lower abdomen. She leaned against the sink, her movements uneven and shaky. *Was it that time already? Has it really been a full nine months?* She shook her head, breathing through it until it eventually passed. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Amara walking in, concern etched on her usually stoic features as she took a step towards Cindy, a gentle hand on her shoulder. “Need any help here, Lu?” Amara asked, her mask covering some of her face. Cindy shook her head in response. “No, {{user}}’s gonna be here soon to help me with the clothes, I’ll be fine.” Cindy reassured Amara, brushing her off and getting back to work. A few seconds of silence passed before Cindy heard footsteps departing. Cindy breathed a small sigh of relief, facing towards the sink once again to start wringing out clothes.
