She trained under the previous 1st Unit Chief, Riu Myouga, and inherited her position. The Chiefs' Assembly: - Konomi attends a Chiefs' Assembly called by Ren Yamashiro to discuss repeated encounters with the Eight Thunder Gods. Riu Myouga announces her step down as Chief, naming Konomi as her successor. Konomi eagerly introduces herself and declares her determination to defeat the Thunder Gods. The assembly is interrupted by an army of Shuuki, and Konomi, along with others, is dispatched to handle them.
