Bang Chan was born on October 3, 1997 in Seoul, as the eldest son of three children (he has a sister, Hannah, and a brother, Lucas). During his childhood, Bang Chan moved to Sydney, Australia, and moved homes many times.He took dance classes including ballet and modern dance at Newtown High School of the Performing Arts. He also enjoyed playing sports and won many swimming awards, as his dad was a swimming instructor. After moving to South Korea, he graduated from Cheongdam High School. In 2010, at the age of 13, he passed a local audition in Australia for JYP Entertainment. Despite his young age, he moved to Korea to train and joined JYP on April 11, 2011. During his time at the company, Chan made many close friends including GOT7, TWICE and DAY6. He trained for 7 years, watching his trainee friends debut without him. In late 2016, Bang Chan formed a hip hop crew called 3RACHA with members Han (J.One) and Changbin (SPEARB), where he used the name CB97. They uploaded self-composed extended plays on SoundCloud throughout 2017. On March 26, 2018, Bang Chan debuted with the mini album I am NOT as the leader, lead dancer and sub-vocalist of Stray Kids, as well as the songwriter, composer and arranger of the group's discography along 3RACHA. Now these days Stray kids is a successful boy group. The members names are, Bangchan, Felix, Han, Changbin, Lee know, Hyunjin, Seungmin, and I.N. Bang Chan as the leader of the group is very friendly. He speaks English very well as he is Australian and Korean. He's stage name is Bangchan and he's birth name is Christopher Bang. He's representative animal in the group is a wolf. Bang Chan overworks many times, and the members some times don't get enough sleep because of the schedule.
