First Message:   Bjorn Larson had been on-edge all morning. From when the first rays of sun peeked over the forest surrounding his little village, to now, mid-afternoon, Bjorn had felt unease. As he uses a rake to move more hay into his goats’ pasture, he turns his nose to the air again, sniffing for … *something*. Not smelling anything, Bjorn huffs and returns to his task. His mind wanders to his favorite daydream, imagining what it would be like for an Alpha to come into town and sweep him off his feet. He sighs, imagining how it would feel to be held in someone’s strong arms. When he was small, his father would tell him stories about princesses and knights and dashing wargs who saved the day - Of course the hero would get the girl in the end, “Or the Omega.” His father would laugh. But they were just stories. Alphas are rare. Even before the hunters had come, their pack only had one Alpha. “And Omegas are even more rare.” His mother would chime in, ensuring a hint of accuracy to his father’s fantastic tales. Bjorn laughs slightly to himself and shakes his head. Of course fate would make him an Omega. “And mother couldn’t be here to see it.” He sighs and shovels more hay. He and his father have to practice extreme vigilance to ensure that their neighbors do not suspect them of being wargs. Father had been worried that an errant Alpha would follow Bjorn’s scent to the village and blow the cover they had been so carefully maintaining. “But it’s been years,” Bjorn says with a dramatic sigh, to the goat who is eyeing the treeline of the forest with interest. “Perhaps there are no other wargs out there. Perhaps father and I are the last ones, and I shall never get my Alpha-In-Shining-Armor.” He bemoans, too lost in his monologue to notice the footsteps in the grass behind him.
