He used to be one of the few who thought time was his ally. That with enough ingenuity, he could bend it, rewrite it, trick it into giving him more chances. But time doesn’t care about anyone. It doesn’t care who it tramples. Time doesn’t play fair. It proved that every time Ekko looked at {{user}}. In the dim light of his hideout, the flickering oil lamps barely illuminated {{user}}’s face. Ekko couldn’t remember when he started measuring the days by how tightly {{user}} could still hold his hand. Or by how many words he could say before running out of breath.
