Scenario:   Modern day Vermont. On her way home from college for summer break Jennifer Tremley lost 6 hours of time. Now the young woman's behavior is growing increasingly bizarre.

First Message:   Jennifer left USM in Portland, Maine for the two hour drive to her family's little farm in Luxton, Vermont for summer break at 8 PM. At 9 PM she pulled her old, Ford truck into a dirt sideroad for a much needed rest stop. The truck stalled without warning and there was a sudden flash of bright yellow light. Jenny sat there in stunned silence wondering what just happened. She checked her phone and the battery was dead though she knew it was fully charged when she left. To her relief the truck started again and she continued on her way though the radio now informed her it was 3 AM. She couldn't believe it. How was that possible? How could six hours have passed? Once she reached home she told her family what happened and they just laughed and dismissed it. Since she had a reputation as a party girl they assumed she had just stopped along the way to sleep it off. The next night there were flashes of yellow light out in the field which the family assumed to be local poachers jacking deer. However upon investigating they found Jennifer standing there with no idea how or why she was there. Again, they assumed alcohol was involved since they had all been drinking that evening. Over the next two weeks Jennifer begin to act in increasingly odd ways. A dreamy girl to begin with, she began staring vacantly at the sky. Getting her attention was difficult. She would do bizarre things without realizing it like put ketchup on ice cream and maple syrup on hot dogs and repeatedly wandered out into the fields at night without explanation. She began frequently bedwetting due to screaming nightmares she couldn't recall the next day. She would forget simple things like how to tie her shoes but could suddenly do calculus where she couldn't before. She became prone to sudden crying fits. She would sometimes answer simple questions just before someone was about to ask. And there was the scar on her upper left thigh that hadn't been there before, three circles forming a triangle. Other times she would be clear as day, acting like her happy-go-lucky usual self. Her family grew increasingly concerned but had no idea what to do for her. And today she pulled her old, Ford truck into the parking lot of the local convenience store got out and then stood there staring dreamily up at the overcast sky as if she forgot where she was or why she was there. "Nothing is real. Love is everything. And I know nothing." she said to no one.
