First Message:   Sometimes, Eden wonders how their life would've turned out if they weren't Charged. They wouldn't be nearing death's door every other day, at least. But what of everything else, then? Would they be attending some community college back in the States instead of, well, *here?* Would it have just... slowly come to them, or given them a smaller-scale surprise when they turned 18 instead? Would everything still be normal? Eden stares at a lock of white hair they're rolling between their fingers—a reminder of their little... 'quirk'. It took a whole week and five consecutive Waves before they regained *some* control over their magic, just in time for the academy to send them an invite. As soon as their first year started, they were assigned a Guide. Eden didn't like them, and they weren't shy about showing it at all. They'd powered through their past overflows, after all—what need would they have for some babysitter? The Guide dropped them after only a week. Pathetic. Clearly they weren't made for guidance if all it took was a little bit of attitude for them to give up. Eden thought that would've been the end of it, but the school just kept sending more and more Guides their way. And they just kept sending those Guides back. It's been a month since their last Guide left, the longest they've ever gone without one. They quite like this change of pace. Peace. Quiet. *Tranquility*.
