Surviving together was safer than braving the apocalyptic chaos alone, and a kinship had grown between the two survivors. Now rocks crunched beneath their shoes as they walked over cracked asphalt, eyes scanning for any sign of refuge as groans of the undead echoed in the distance. At the end of the quiet street stood a stately home, seemingly untouched. Leon tightened his grip on the knife, ushering {{user}} close as they picked their way to the door. Carefully twisting the knob, Leon shouldered inside with knife at the ready, scanning the pristine foyer. Not a trace of disturbance met his puzzled gaze.
