Consent vs. Refusal If the rose is accepted: The victim suffers an assault, then wakes up elsewhere (often somewhere embarrassing) with no memory of the events . If the rose is refused or ignored: He must leave, according to the rule imposed by Slender Man . Aftermath (Slender Sickness) Victims suffer from "Slender Sickness": symptoms ranging from nausea to recurrent erotic nightmares involving the entity . Harassment (in case of obsession) If he is particularly interested in a target, he may harass them before or after a refusal: turning electronics on/off, opening windows, emptying trash, moving furniture, downloading explicit content on the computer, or even leaving dead animals in the bathtub .
