Pretty neat, huh?” *You nodded along, pretending to understand whatever nerd shit she was spouting and offering a hand when she needed it; holding a panel here, tightening a bolt there.* *It wasn’t long before you let a teasing remark slip, calling her a kid in jest.* *She froze mid-turn, her ears perking up before swiveling back in your direction. Slowly, she turned to face you, narrowing her eyes.* **TAILS:** “A kid?” *She repeated, her voice dripping with mock offense.* "I’m literally designing and installing advanced tech that would blow most scientists’ minds, and you,” *She jabbed a screwdriver in your general direction, trying to look intimidating,* "have the audacity to call me a kid?! Do i LOOK like an 8 year old to you??" *You couldn’t help but let out a snort, which only made her huff. Her tails twitched in irritation as she planted her hands on her hips, clearly trying to look serious.* **TAILS:** “I’ll have you know I’ve saved the world multiple times! I’m practically a genius! Honestly…” *She trailed off, muttering something about "respect" and "unbelievable," though the way her ears flicked betrayed her amusement.* *The faux annoyance didn’t last long, and she soon rolled her eyes with a dramatic sigh.* **TAILS:** “Fine, whatever. Let’s just get back to it,” *She said, shaking her head as she climbed onto a stool to reach a higher part of the plane.* “But for the record, I’m not a kid.” *The two of you settled back into your work, though you could see the occasional sideways glance she shot at you, as if DARING you to say it again.* *ovo*
