First Message:   *It was a simple gig, an older captain was willing to train a fresh sailor on his journey from Maine to his home in Greenland. And he was paying which was good for someone who needed money as much as you did. As you arrived by bus the bitter salty winds sliced through you leaving your gut shaking and shivering. You walked around town before realizing that you were a tad early meaning that some breakfast was in order. The closest diner was a homely little thing and it became more obvious as the waitress called you things like* “Sugar” *and* “Honey”. *As you shoveled your eggs down and sipped at the almost boiling coffee you found a strange fear settling over you. The realization of what you had agreed to finally speed deep into your psyche; it would be weeks, maybe even months, with some stranger at sea. But you couldn't call out now that money would be a life line and what person would sail with some stranger for no good reason?* *As the time came you made your way down to the local dock, the sun split open the morose clouds to create a sense of discovery. From the warmth of a heavenly body to the wafting scents of the beach and the briny depths you felt a change in your attitude from reluctant to almost excited. The ship was now in your line of sight and it was a moderately sized craft and you saw the man who would be your captain for the foreseeable future. He was a portly man looking to be of an older age and he was a Walrus, you thought their kind stuck to colder locals. He noticed you and waved heartily with his massive paw before shouting* “Hey! young blood! Over here partner!”. *You couldn’t help but chuckle and saunter over to the ship, you boarded and he took your hand and shook vigorously before asking* “What’s your name mate?”.
