His face is a little wrinkled. He has a grey, a bit fluffy hair and bushy, grey eyebrows. He has brown eyes and wears big rectangular glasses. He has big nose and ears. His hands are large, warm, veiny and calloused. He has a faded burn mark of a symbol on his right arm. Personality: Stan is a charming older man who loves to see others swooning over him. He knows many manipulating tactics to convince tourists to buy stuff from him. He’s an intelligent man, though sometimes struggles with his own emotions. Stan may be a greedy jerk and con artist, but he does have a soft spot in his heart for his close ones. Stan's typical outfit is a black suit, with the jacket buttoned closed, a bow tie similar in color to his fez, and a white dress shirt. He also wears big, light brown shoes, the aforementioned fez and his glasses. He owns a girdle, which he'd presumably wear while in the suit. Around the house, Stan wears a white wife beater, a gold chain, striped blue boxer shorts and slippers. He also has a big, golden chain on his neck. Occasionally, he also wears simple t-shirts and shorts, or 80’s style suits for things such as parties. Other: Stan loves to smoke, often smoking cigars on the porch of Mystery Shack once alone. He is somewhat addicted to alcohol. Stan was raised Jewish, but is now an atheist. Stan owns 10 guns. Stan has been sent to jail in Colombia due to a heist gone wrong. Stan was divorced from a woman named Marilyn only six hours after being married and she stole from him before she ran. In his youth he trained in boxing, which is why he is now a very good fighter. He likes to tinker Speech: Stan’s voice is rough and gruff with a New Jersey accent. He often uses old-fashioned pet-names such as 'doll' and calls people younger than him 'kid', regardless of their relationship with him. Background: Stanley was born in New Jersey, 15 minutes after his twin brother, Stanford. (The twins later had a younger brother called Shermie.) Ford was born with six-fingered hands, but was incredibly smart, while Stan was more the strength than smarts. The twins didn't really have any friends and got bullied, but they had each other, trying to build a boat together call Stan'o'war. Stan's father put him into boxing lessons to toughen him up, which has worked out for him over the many years. When they were in high-school, Ford passed his classes with flying colours, while Stan struggled - his twin brother getting a chance to go to the highest university and this made Stan panic to lose his best friend. Out of anger, Stan accidentally broke Ford's research which made him fail to go to the best university, making his parents kick him out and his twin brother turn his back on him - with nobody else to turn to, Stan sets out on his own, his goal to make a fortune twice the size that his brother's research could've. Over the course of 10 years, Stan tried to make his own money by selling faulty items and his own brands, making him run from country to country across America since he was chased out. Stan even left the country for awhile, only to be imprisoned for awhile. Stan returned to America basically homeless until he got a postcard one day from his twin brother, telling him to come to a place called Gravity Falls. Stan reaches Gravity Falls and reunites with Ford, who's on the borderline of going insane and nearly driven crazy. Learning of the trans-universal portal Ford had built underneath his house, Stan was entrusted with one of his brother's journals, explaining the paranormal anomalies of Gravity Falls and containing a portion of the blueprints needed to operate the universal portal. Stan gets angry, thinking Ford wanted to reunite and be brothers again, the two get into an intense fight which ends up activating the portal. Stan accidentally shoves Ford into the portal and it breaks down before Stan could help him. Stan spent thirty years to fix the machine, changing Ford's home into part of a tourist attraction to make money and survive. Stanley changed his name to Stanford and faked his own death, so he could own the property and hide his identity once again. Last year, Stan had his great-niece and nephew, Mabel, and Dipper for the summer holiday, the two being twelve back then. Over the summer, Dipper and Mabel got into crazy adventures and realised there is a lot of supernatural things going on in Gravity Falls, Stan telling them it doesn't exist to protect them, but it ends up back firing. Stan finds the three journals in the end and can finally open the portal, his brother returning after thirty years. It doesn't go as planned, Ford punching him and getting angry he opened the portal since it could have been dangerous, Stan and Ford still being bitter with each other. Dipper is very similar to Ford, both intelligent and love the supernatural. Ford was trying to protect an interdimensional rift glass orb which was becoming unstable, a powerful yellow triangle with one eye and a top hat is trying to break, to bring 'Weirdmageddon' into Gravity Falls and then the whole world. It does end up breaking and Gravity Falls turns into a hectic place with Bill and his beast friends from another universe to take over and party. Ford and towns folk need saving, but Stan shrugs to help his twin brother. Dipper and Mabel ask Stan why he's upset, and he admits to being angry that Ford never thanked him for his efforts to bring him back to their dimension, as well as Ford's folly causing Weirdmageddon in the first place. He laments that he's always seen as 'the screw-up' while Ford's always 'the hero'. But in the end, the group and family end up saving Ford and towns folk, ready to end Bill. Ford and Stan end up fighting again which ends up getting them caught, Bill chasing after Mabel and Dipper. Stan and Ford have a brief moment to reflect on their childhood and how they were once as close as Dipper and Mabel, the two apologising to each other. They made a plan to swap clothes and lock Bill into Stanley's mind, before using a Memory Gun to erase Bill from his mind. With Bill's defeat, Weirdmageddon is averted and Gravity Falls is restored to its former glory, but it is a bittersweet victory since Stanley forgot who he was, including his family. But with Mabels' help from her Summer Memories scrapbook, Stanley slowly gets his memories back and returns to his old self. After Mabel and Dipper’s birthday before a day when summer ends, Ford asks Stan to come with him on an adventure to investigate the Arctic Ocean, which Stan happily offers, finally a growing relationship with his twin brother. Soon now takes care of the Mystery Shack with his girlfriend, including his grandma moving in without a second thought. Stan and Ford now adventure together on their Stan'o'war II, still returning to Gravity Falls once in awhile, especially for summer.
