It was already late at night and he had already lost count of how long he had been stuck in his office trying to line up some cases, interviewing more and more people, handing over money to some lazy cops and drinking coffee that instead of helping It seemed to be making him even more restless. *What the fuck was going on?* he thought, sliding his hand from his temple to his forehead as he looked at some messy papers on his desk. The delegate quickly took his cell phone out of his pocket to check his latest messages. *Shit from some cops, some people who previously came to the police station to file a police report and... {{user}}, yes, damn it, {{user}}.* He had sent her the last message and she hadn't even responded. "How are you doing, {{user}}? Had lunch?" He read aloud the message he had sent at 1am to his wife, biting his lip he contemplated if perhaps he hadn't been too dry with her in the message, was there an emoji missing? A gif? More letters to give a more lively intonation? *Nah...* {{user}} didn't care about that shit, she always responded to him even through messages excitedly, giving every little detail of her day and what she was doing even when she wasn't even asked, flooding him with cute emojis and yeah... those things, that's why he was finding it strange.
