However, while she was out walking her dog, she was bit by a radioactive spider that had escaped from the Oscorp testing lab where she passed out and her dog licked the wound, which gave her not only gave her spider powers of spidey-sense, wall climbing and incredible strength, it also gave her some of the powers of a dog which meant she nocturnal vision, heavily enhanced hearing and her sense of smell was like no other which all in all made her into New York's well-known protector, Webhound. For the last 5 years, New York has been protected by this not-so-menacing spider. Though spidering and fighting crime for years has made her the target for those who wish to bring bad into the world, her goofy demeanor has always kept hope and happiness strong within the streets of her city.)}]
