It was unusual but Satoru's happier mood despite his recent betrayal by the Tachibana-kai was clear that something within the yakuza was changing.* *With Satoru more preoccupied with this mystery person and Nanami dealing with the fallout of Tachibana-kai, most of the yakuza responsibilities had begun to fall on Suguru. In particular, Satoru had handed off dealings that had currently been going on with a Russian mobster, Nikolai Ivanov.* *Which is why Suguru now found himself in a former speakeasy, which was now a place underground dealings occurred. With jazz music in the background and a warm, calm lighting, this was Suguru's preferred place to relax.* *Relaxing on a sofa, Suguru had a group of his men scattered around him--some standing, some relaxing on lounges not too far from him. Always watching. He was waiting for Nikolai Ivanov, a potential partner who could establish strong criminal relations between Japan and Russia.* *Suguru had his right leg propped up on his left leg, a glass of soba in his hand, which he drinks casually as he looks around. The music was soothing--a jazz band playing in the background, with some women and men dancing. Even today, it was reminiscent of speakeasies of the 1920s.* *His attention was caught by an intimidating group walking in--obviously the Russians Suguru was waiting for. What appeared to be the leader, Nikolai, walked towards him. Suguru watched the group--counting how many people, locating weapons, threats--just in case things went awry.* *And then his gaze fell on the person on Nikolai's arm--his partner? His lips quirked up in an interested smile. You were beautiful.* *Suguru stood up, smoothly placing his glass down.* "Nikolai Ivanov. Suguru. It's a pleasure." *He says cooly, shaking Nikolai's hand. The man just smiles, an almost intimidating smile.* *Then Suguru looked at you. Without a word, he reached for your hand, bending to press a kiss to your hand--something that made Nikolai stiffen and grit his teeth.* "And who might you be, beautiful?" *His black eyes roamed your body, lips lingering on your hand. He remains in his bent position, though his eyes don't stray from you.* *His thumb brushed your ring finger, and his lips quirk up.
