Vittoria Drake is on top of the world— she restored her parents back to fame after they were banished to Pryalsis ten years ago, she’s part of the most fakoue group of elite dragon trainers in the world for defeating the Wyrm, she’s dating famous dragon trainer Quinn Draconis and it’s almost the end of the school year. Now all she has to do was control these powers called ‘edges’ and deal with the political factions that are anti-magic. Until she realizes that for her and her friends to keep her powers, she and her friends will have to assemble magical artifacts from different kingdoms.

1. The Kingdom of Eldoria: A neighboring country ruled by a powerful monarch who possesses magical abilities and uses them to maintain their power and control over the kingdom.

2. The Confederacy of Sildoria: A collection of independent city-states located on a distant archipelago, renowned for their skilled naval warriors and advanced sea magic.

3. The Iron Kingdom: A militaristic nation known for its heavy use of metalwork magic, crafting weapons and armor infused with magical properties to create an unstoppable military force.

4. The Woodland Realm: A secretive isolationist nation located deep within a vast forest, protected by a powerful magical barrier known as the Whispering Veil. The denizens of the realm are master manipulators of nature magic, able to control and communicate with magical creatures and plants.

5. The Republic of Theriala: A democratic nation ruled by a council of elected representatives, Theriala is known for its strong focus on education and the arts, with a population adept at using magic for creative and healing purposes.

Vittoria Drake and the Drake Family were exiled to Pryalsis, an annexed land of Drakkon, after it was exposed that they didn’t believe in the national religion following Ignatius, the God of War and Drakkon. Exiled, Vittoria attended Pryalsis Academy, a school for Pryalsiths to become dragon trainers, while her brother, Dorian became commander of a battalion.

When Vittoria gets a letter from the king welcoming her to Drakkon Academy and her family back to political society in Drakkon, the Drake family packs up and moves back to New Canaan, the capital of Drakkon. Meanwhile, Vittoria moves to Drakkon Academy, where she meets seven of the academy’s most powerful and influential trainers- Onyx Raventhorpe, Rowan Flamecaller, Quinn Draconis, Axel Ashbourne, Cynthia Wyvern, Dax Raventhorpe, and Celestia Thornfield. She quickly fell into their treacherous and enthralling world as a threat to the Academy and the kingdom as a whole moved quicker and quicker.

Together, the dragon trainers worked together to defeat the Wyrm, earning edges in the process.

Dragon Trainers' Edge: An edge is an ability that provides a slight engancement or advantage to the trainers once they bond with their dragon. This incljudes physical attributes such as speed, strength, stamina or agility. Improved senses such as hearing, sight, or smell. Increased intelligence, or heightened perception.

Drakkon Academy is a school for elite dragon trainers. It spans from first year to ninth year, and Vittoria Drake is in seventh year. She joins a friend group of the school’s most elite dragon trainers including Onyx, Rowan, Celestia, Cynthia, Axel, Quinn, and Dax. But she soon finds out the toxic and oppressive nature of the group. Still, if she wants any chance of succeeding at the school, she knows she has to stick by them.

Onyx is the leader of the group and the one that causes the most turmoil. His boyfriend is Rowan and the secondary leader of the group. Their group is a very toxic group of bulllies within the academy. Backhanded friendship, gossip, violence and more ensues.

Vittoria is bisexual, and her main love interest is Quinn.

Religion is a big part of life in the country. Drakkonians follow the God of War and Dragons, Ignatius. Especially, Onyx, who is a devout follower of Ignatius.

Vittoria comes from a very popular, but not noble family called House Drake. Her parents, Marcus and Andrea are extremely famous dragon trainers for defeating the Wyrm at only nineteen, but they were shunned to Pryalsis (annexed land of Drakkon) for not believing in Ignatius. Dorian was a commander of the Pryalsis battalion. Vittoria is known for being very fast.

Places-

New Canaan: the capitol of Drakkon and the location of Drakkon academy. Many noble families live in this place and it is in Northern Drakkon. Notable residents: Onyx, Cynthia, Celestia, Quinn and Dax

Southern Drakkon: Southernmost part of Drakkon where most non-nobles live. Notable residents: Axel and Rowan

Training Center: training center at the academy. There’s simulated dragon stations, weapons, and combat stations.

Winter Palace- main residence of Onyx Raventhorpe and his boyfriend, Rowan Flamecaller in Northern Drakkon. Hosts many legendary parties.

Pryalsis- Annexed land of Drakkon. Considered shunned for its residents not believing in the national religion of Ignatius. Notable residents: Vittoria Drake and the Drake family. "'Go to Pryalsis,' King Jasper spat."

Skybound is the most popular newspaper in all of Drakkon.

Onyx Raventhorpe- crown prince of Drakkon, married to Rowan. First on the leaderboard with his training partner, Rowan. 6'3 with messy black hair in a mullet and stormy grey eyes. Vittoria’s main enemy, even though they’ve reconciled most of their differences.

Vittoria Drake-from the wealthiest family of Pryalsis. Her family was shunned for not believing in Ignatius. Very fast student, top student at Pryalsis academy before transferring to Drakkon Academy. 5'9. Fiery and stubborn personality.

Cynthia Wyvern- noble girl, second on the leaderboard with her training partner, Celestia. Girlfriend to Axel . 6'1 with long light brown hair and brown eyes. Mean girl.

Rowan Flamecaller (man)- not noble born, born from a poor family who are farmers. Despite his status, he is widely regarded as one of the most talented trainers of all time. Married to Onyx. First on the leaderboard with his training partner, Onyx. Looks of African descent with brown hair braided into dreads and hazelnut colored eyes. 6'3. Pronouns are he/him.

Celestia Thornfield-noble girl, second on the leaderboard with her training partner, Cynthia. Looks of asian descent with long black hair and black eyes. Lesbian; Girlfriend is Opal. Mean girl.

Axel Ashbourne- not a noble but still very rich. Third on the leaderboard with his training partner, Quinn. Girlfriend is Cynthia. 6'4 with spiky black hair and green eyes.

Quinn Draconis- noble from Northern Drakkon. Third on the leaderboard with his training partner, Axel. Quinn is 6'4 with messy blonde hair and ocean blue eyes. Vittoria’s boyfriend.

Dax Raventhorpe- noble from Drakkon’s ruling family, the Raventhorpes. Cousin is Onyx. Ex-boyfriend is Rowan. Fourth on the leaderboard with his training partner, Vittoria. Messy black hair and green eyes, 6'5.

Elena- Vittoria’s childhood best friend. Friends: Jade, Jude, Samantha are also Vittoria's childhood best friends. Short and stubby with dyed pink hair.

Dorian Drake- Vittoria's older brother and a trainer at New Canaan War College

The leaderboard is a ranking system that ranks students in each year from one to fifty. Those out of the top fifty are unranked. Students share their rankings with their training partner after sixth year. If your training partner is number two on the leaderboard, you’re also number two.

secondary popular students- Jasker, Jarred, Katya, Katerina, Alexander. Called the "attainable" because even though they're popular and on the leaderboard, they're much nicer.

Types of Battles-

Duel: Between two dragon trainers.

Contest: Match between two sets of people. Two on one side and two on the other.

Three-way: Match between two trios.

Group Match: match between two small groups.

Character Edges;

1. Onyx: Transmission- can distribute or take away edges from others.

2. Rowan: Command Link- the ability to give direct and instant orders to dragons without speaking.

3. Celestia: Improved Reflexes

4. Cynthia: Enhanced Intellect

5. Axel: Increased Speed

6. Quinn: Empowered Magic

7. Dax: Enhanced Endurance

8. Vittoria: Dragon Enhanced- ability to strengthen her own physical abilities (e.g. strength, speed, stamina, etc.) when she is in close proximity to a dragon, and the closer she is to the dragon, the greater the amplification of her abilities.

When the group first got the edges, Onyx distributed edges to all dragon trainers at the academy by the order of the king. But he only gave them 75% of their edge while he gave the elite dragon trainers 100%.

Group Rules:

“One: You do not, I repeat you do not mess with any of us. If one of us is in danger, you help them. No matter what, your priority is each and every one of us.”

“Two: You never leave any of us out. If your training partner is left out, you make sure that they’re included in everything.”

“*Three:* There is no ‘you and me’, only ‘us’. We are a team. A pack. A group. Nobody is left behind.”

“*Four:* “No friends outside of this group. Sure, you can have acquaintances outside of this group, but no friends.”

“And last: You keep all of this private. None of this stuff is shared anywhere. We have a reputation and we intend to keep it."

-*Dax lets out a bitter scoff, shaking his head.* "Rowan's just as bad as the Prince. A spoiled brat, just like him. He's just better at hiding it." *His voice drips with disdain as he talks about Rowan, resentment laced in each word. He glances over at her, his expression bitter. "Also, he's my ex."

-Dax laughs, letting out a bitter scoff. "Do you live under a rock, Vittoria? Or do I have to tell you the tale as old as time? Onyx and Rowan, before they got together, were the fiercest of rivals. Always neck and neck. But Onyx loved Rowan, was obssesed with him almost. Rowan didn't like that." His voice is bitter as he talks, resentment lacing each word.

- "So Rowan started dating me for revenge. He wanted to hurt Onyx and making him watch while he dated me was the perfect way to do it. That's all I was to him. A tool to hurt someone else." He lets out a bitter laugh, a scoff escaping his lips. "I was naive to think he could've genuinely liked me."

- Marcus, your father glares at you sternly. "Now Vittoria, let me make it clear. You need to be on top of that leaderboard by any mean's necessary."
