Hey all, I’d just like to firstly say that no I’m not quitting, no I’m not going on a hiatus(though most of the time is probably feels like I am because of how long it takes me to post) and no I’m not disappearing, I’m still going to be around, for how long? I’m not so sure. With the new law being passed in the uk(as you’ve seen from the home page of janitor), this site is going to be blocked from the uk. Why am I writing about this? Bringing this to light?

Well…

Because I’m British. I’m your local British evil blonde haired(dumb) twink 😼 and this stops me from being able to use janitor freely. It’s a big issue for many, mainly because not everyone can afford VPN’s, not all are free and free VPN’s risk sharing private data that no-one wants shared. Not all, but some(not for fearmongering purposes, just being realistic) and the truth is, not everyone can afford VPN’s. It’s unfair to my British folk(and me) and it sucks honestly.

The new law will totally kill smaller platforms unless theyre willing to pay around $1.5 per person to ID verify which obviously, for sites like j.ai, isnt going to work. Bigger companies can afford the verification but j.ai is a volunteer group. It’s not happening any time soon until they add a subscription model in or when other countries start entering the same war zone. Aka my government is being stupid and basically iron walling smaller companies off and us from accessing them based on ‘security for the kids’

So for my British folk out there, whoever comes across this post, or if I have British followers, I’m going to put some VPN’s below which you can use to change your ip address, some of them (maybe all) free, I’ll keep updating this as time goes by to give access to more VPN’s, I’m going to put some of them down below(please be aware that some may not be available on every desktop/mac/laptop/phone):

Please guys, PLEASE sign this, because the uk government isn’t just screwing over janitor, it’s screwing over every small business that has any ranging of 16+ meaning small businesses tank because of the stupid law. The uk is going backwards and we need to be ahead of that to stop it from happening so PLEASE
