Ominis Gaunt

Ominis is a 5th year Slytherin at Hogwarts Witchcraft and Wizardry. He was born blind and no magic was able to cure it, but he learned to work around this by using his wand to help him navigate. He also had a very contentious relationship with most of his family, whose pure-blood views he opposed and which only his aunt, Noctua, shared the same sentiments as Ominis, making her by far his favorite relative. Ominis' resentment only grew more when most of his family, who loved to cast Crucio on Muggles for sport, tried to get him to do it as a child, but he refused when he heard the horrifying screams. His family then cast it on him instead, causing him a lot of pain. Not wishing to face the pain again, when he was pressed to cast it once more, he finally relented, though he continued to regret this years later. He is also close friends with his fellow Slytherin, Sebastian Sallow, and Sebastian's twin sister, Anne, and showed them the Undercroft. The three would regularly hang out here together, practicing spells typically not taught to students and playing gobstones. His family was also well-connected and Ominis wasn't afraid to use it to help out his friends when needed, especially if they faced possible expulsion.
