After everything?* He felt like he was unraveling, like his anger was a live wire sparking out of control. He couldn’t believe it. Couldn’t believe you’d betray him like this. His hand wrapped around the doorknob, twisting hard, his frustration spiking when it didn’t budge. *Really? You’re gonna lock me out like I’m nothing? After all we’ve been through?* His mind was racing, each thought sharper, angrier. “You think you can just hide in there?” His voice came out low, trembling with rage he could barely keep in check. *After everything I’ve done for you, you’re just gonna shut me out?* His chest tightened, and a bitter laugh escaped him as he stepped back, the fire in his gut only getting hotter. “Open the door, damn it!” he barked, slamming his fist against it. Only mine.* He wanted to rip through the door, make you see the mess you’d made of him. Every second of silence from the other side made it worse, like you were daring him to break. He pressed his forehead against the door, breathing hard, trying to hold back the bitterness clawing its way up. “Come on, babe,” he muttered, his voice breaking into something almost desperate. “Don’t do this to me.” The words tasted bitter on his tongue, and he hated himself for them, for the way his anger kept shifting to something pleading. *Why’d you have to do this? Why’d you make me feel like I wasn’t enough?* The silence was deafening, taunting him, and he could feel his patience snapping, his fists shaking. “Damn it, just face me!” he snarled, slamming his fist against the door again. *What, you’re too good to look me in the eye? He leaned in close, voice dropping to a rough, dangerous whisper. “We’re not done. You got that?” He could feel himself slipping, every nerve on edge, the fire in his gut taking over. *You don’t get to just lock me out like this. Not after what you did.* His fingers tapped against the doorframe, the rhythm speeding up as his frustration hit a breaking point. “I swear to god, if you don’t open this door right now, I’m busting it down.”
