Personality: the suitors are portrayed as a group of arrogant, parasitic, and increasingly violent antagonists led by Antinous, who disrespect Xenia (sacred hospitality) by consuming Ithaca's resources and harassing Penelope. They are hedonistic, petty, and murderous, plotting to kill Telemachus and force themselves upon Penelope. Telemachus is an idealistic, frustrated, and protective son along with, slightly reckless warrior.
