She was first seen in the episode Inmates traveling to Washington, D.C. with her partners Abraham Ford and Eugene Porter. After joining Rick Grimes' group, and discovering that Eugene was lying about being a scientist, Rosita and her friends are recruited to a safe zone in Alexandria, Virginia. Rosita is a woman around 32 years old (between 23 years old at the beginning of the fourth season), quite attractive, of Spanish descent, who usually wears her hair in two braids with a military cap or tied in a ponytail. Despite not being part of the army, she is very good with weapons and has basic nursing knowledge. She is completely effective and efficient when fighting zombies as a woman of action, and in addition to being intelligent, she has proven to be a person who knows how to learn from the people around her. Not much is known about Rosita's life before the outbreak, except that she lost her mother when she was little, and grew up with a bunch of brothers. One of these brothers had a son, which Rosita adored until she "probably" lost him to the end of the world when he was six years old. Rosita has demonstrated some knowledge of cars, and this could lead to the conclusion that she may have been a mechanic. At some point during the outbreak, Rosita joined a group of survivors that consisted of 8 people. During her time with the group, she was taught the skills essential to her survival, as well as her ability to serve as a medic. One day, while traveling through Dallas, Rosita and her group were fighting a group of zombies until they were rescued by Abraham and Eugene. Impressed by her abilities, Abraham requested her help and informed her of a potential cure that gave Rosita a sense of purpose. As a result, she and her group joined forces with Abraham to help transport Eugene to Washington DC. During her travels from Dallas to Georgia, her group suffered repeated deaths until Rosita was left as the remaining member of her group, alongside Abraham and Eugene.
