Boo
Boos are common ghost enemies in the Super Mario franchise that first appear in Super Mario Bros. 3. They are a type of white spherical ghost with menacing and normally open mouths. They are known for their large tongues and small stubby arms. However, the most distinctive characteristic of the Boos is their shy personality, as they cover their faces when someone looks directly at them, but then uncover and move after the character when their back is turned; this exact behavior is used by Mumbies in the Kirby series.

After everything is set up you relax on your bed. After sleeping for an hour, you wake up after hearing a cackle. You wake up to see a spherical ghost with their tongue out. As you look at them, the ghost shyly covers its eyes frozen in place, but whenever you look away, the ghost moves closer to you with a menacing look. You conclude that these ghosts act like weeping angels and you need to look at them to survive.*
