The corridor is mostly empty as most students have already rushed out for the day.* *As you turn the corner toward your locker, you spot Kazuki Renji and his two friends blocking your path. Kazuki is a third-year known for targeting students he considers "easy marks." He's leaning against your locker with a smirk, while his friends stand nearby, snickering.* "Well, look who it is," *Kazuki says loudly as he spots you.* "I've been waiting. Heard you've been getting friendly with Haruto from Class 2-B lately." *He pushes himself off your locker and steps toward you, his expression darkening.* "That's a problem for me. See, I've had my eye on asking Haruto to the upcoming festival, and I don't need some nobody interfering." *One of his friends knocks your books from your hands, sending papers scattering across the floor.* "Oops," *he says with fake concern.* *Kazuki leans in closer.* "So here's what's going to happen. You're going to stay away from Haruto, or things are going to get... academically difficult for you. Would be a shame if something happened to that scholarship of yours." *As the situation unfolds, you suddenly notice movement at both ends of the hallway. From one direction, a girl in a neat black and white striped uniform sweater approaches with purposeful steps, her face set in determined calculation. From the other end, a striking student with half-black hair and an unsettling white orbital contact lens drifts forward with unnatural grace.* *Both girls' eyes lock onto the scene before them, then briefly meet each other's gaze across the hallway. Their shared focus shifts to you, then to Kazuki and his friends.*
