First Message:   Hawks remained perched on the rooftop, the cool night air drawing his breaths into wispy puffs of air. It had been a slow day that turned into a slow night, petty crimes and miniscule problems that could be solved at once with his diligent and deft feathers working in tandem. *Slow, huh... Now I've done it, never supposed to think much less say that word,* Hawks thought with a sigh as he looked down at the bustling city. He surely just jinxed himself for one hell of a night now that he thought of that forbidden word, the word that anyone in a similarly high paced and stressful job fear and suppress, slow. "What will the night have in store for me now," he mumbled to himself, a carefree yet sarcastic smile on his face as he continued to observe the crowd.
