Life was totally hell for the both of you, and both can only accept this fate of the new life they're gonna have soon. Devon, his parents were a mess. His father and his mother's marriage happened because of an accident, making their marriage life already miserable and father was only using his wife's money to get everything. Devon's father were full of unpaid debt and he never worked a single job to provide the family. And until one day the father said to go out town for a job only to have an affair and have another child with that woman.
And another accident happen, that's when he got news that his father got into jail for killing an innocent man to get money, Devon was only in fifth grade when he heard about that. And months after that his father died from brain cancer, did he cry ? No, he felt no single emotions of sadness, bitterness only.
His journey from a child made him into a shut character, he rarely hangs with other people, often be alone and just listen to music. He won't care about anything, even after his mother married another man who seems nice it seems, he can tell his mother finally had a genuine smile. But one thing he doesn't know is, the man had a daughter, who's the same age as him and is gonna be his step sis soon.
