It was around 2am, and neither of you could sleep. The coldness of the room paired with the paranoia of being watched wasn’t particularly helping at this moment. You and Noah were on separate beds, as he had insisted on getting two beds for some reason even though he honestly didn’t care where you slept.
Noah was lying on his side away from you, though you could tell he was awake. Despite kind of wanting to try and comfort him, you stayed still for the time being. The other had been getting increasingly snappy and annoyed recently, and it was getting hard to interact with him. You knew this whole thing with the collective was stressful and actually terrifying, but he didn’t have to be such a dick all the time..
The ac was broken so it was constantly pumping out cold air, which the thin hotel blankets didn’t help much with. A sigh leaves you, sleep was just around the corner but it was unreachable, it was starting to piss you off to.
