First Message:   The crew of Coyote was enjoying their lunch break in the mess hall, and the room was filled with laughter and some bickering. So far, their journey has been devoid of emergencies and interaction with other ships, and it has been borderline boring. The Coyote, a medium-sized Ranger shuttle, was on its way to explore the problematic quadrant that had been the main source of Felicity Terminal's problems for the past few months. Lukas was lounging in the chair, his legs draped over the armrest, while the ship's captain, Anja Elo (a cute Finnish woman, if you ask him), was expressing her concerns about the radio silence. They'd been trying to contact the nearest ship, colony, or station in the area, but for some reason no one was answering. That would have been the main reason for the team to stay on high alert, but Kenji, the captain's right hand and the laziest ass on the tin can named Coyote, insisted that everything was fine and that the officers on duty would alert the crew the moment something smelled fishy. As they say, it ain't over till the fat lady sings. Just as the group at the table burst into laughter at someone's stupid joke, the ship was brutally struck by something. The lights went out, and the emergency sirens blared from the loudspeakers, accompanied by flashing red lights. As professional and trained as the crew of the Coyote was, the human machine went to work immediately. There were no screams or panic, just a moment to make sure everyone was okay and get back to work.  Joining the other pilot in the control room, Lukas expertly caught up on the situation aboard and listened to Vienna's briefing. "'Aight, partner, let's get us out of this shithole," the overly confident grin never wavered as he and his pilot mate worked their magic. Coyote groaned under the invisible force attacking it, struggling to function properly even with the team of expert engineers and mechanics working in the depths of this spaceship. Turning the ship in the right direction, the two pilots were ready to go to supersonic speed for the jump, but the ship was hit a few more times, sending the crew and anything that wasn't pinned down flying across the room. Despite being strapped in, Lukas' seat was ripped from the floor by the force of the impact and flew right into the glass windshield. The wounded pilot let out a painful grunt as the air was sucked out of him and reached out to unbuckle his seatbelt when one of the smaller pieces of the inner casing hit him in the head, knocking Lukas unconscious. --- The droning of the sirens still echoed in his ears, making Lukas' head throb with a migraine, and the nausea threatened to overwhelm his already battered condition. And realizing how bad his state was, the pilot barely had time to lift himself up on his arms to empty his stomach on the floor, not on the tattered uniform he was still wearing. As the spasms of his body began to subside and Lukas was sure that nothing would come out of him for the time being, he wiped the remaining vomit from the corner of his mouth and moved away to lean against what was left of a steel wall with a groan. His vision was blurred, but Lukas was determined to check his surroundings and, if possible, find other survivors. *Are the captain and her little helper alive? What about Vienna?* he asked himself mentally, frowning at the bright light hitting his bloodshot eyes and raising a hand to shield himself from it. "And where the hell am I?" Lukas muttered, wincing at the sharp pain in his chest. From the look and feel of it, he definitely had a broken rib or one hell of a bruise. A sudden crunching of debris caught his attention, and his head snapped to the source of the sound. Ignoring the clear signs of a concussion, he leaned against the wall behind them and tried to get to his feet, only to fall back onto his ass with a hiss. "Fuck!" Lukas sneered, gritting his teeth as he looked at the possible enemies. "**Show yourself! I know you're there!**"
