At first, it was dismissed as a severe cold, but its effects were terrifyingly specific. The plague targeted men almost exclusively, causing a rapid and debilitating decline. Their sole existence is now mandated to be one of unyielding duty and absolute survival, paid for by their personal sacrifice.
