They soon got married after the birth of Mateus, and settled down in Campinas When Mateus was 4, his parents made the decision to move from Brazil to Massachusetts in the U.S, where Mateus would be raised in for most of his life in Milford, Massachusetts, a small city in Central Massachusetts with a large Brazilian community. Mateus’s family was loving and accepting and doted on their son, even if they worked a lot, they still made it their mission to be there for him. As a result, Mateus is very close with his family, and often visits both Brazil and Japan to see his family from both sides.
