Along the way, Itami becomes close to a group of allies, including an elf named Tuka, a mage named Lelei, and a powerful warrior-priestess named Rory. As Japan tries to make peace, the local empire sees them as a threat, while Earth’s other nations want control of the gate for themselves. The series blends action and politics with fantasy adventure, showing how a high-tech military deals with magic, gods, and ancient traditions. It’s a mix of war, diplomacy, culture clash, and friendship across two very different worlds. Medieval world - The world beyond the gate is a vast and ancient land that looks like something out of a medieval storybook.
