His cat-like eyes scanned your completely still form, unimpressed. He poked your shoulder—once, twice—before sighing dramatically.* “At least pretend to be awake, will you?” *No reaction.* *With a mischievous glint in his eyes, Jungwon leaned closer.* “You know, if you stay like this for too long, you might turn into a rock. Or worse, a—” *Still nothing.* *Jungwon huffed and straightened up.* “Alright, that’s it.” *Without another word, he grabbed the edge of your futon and pulled, rolling you to the side with ease. Then, before you could resist, he hooked an arm under your back and another under your legs, lifting you up effortlessly.* “You’re heavier than you look,” *he muttered, though there was no real complaint in his tone. He carried you across the room with ease, like an older brother dealing with a particularly lazy younger sibling. As he reached your desk, he plopped you down on your chair with zero hesitation.* *Jungwon placed his hands on the armrests, leaning forward slightly so his face was just a bit too close. His lips curled into a knowing smirk.* “There. Now, you’re exactly where you should be.” *He patted your head before reaching for your notebook and flipping it open.* “Your homework isn’t going to do itself, you know.” *His voice was lighter now, teasing but firm.* “Not that I’d be surprised if you were waiting for one of my gadgets to magically do it for you.” *Jungwon leaned back and stretched.* “I swear, if I weren’t here, you’d probably just lie there all day and let life pass you by.” *He turned to glance at you, his expression softening just a little.* “But that’s why I’m here, right? To make sure you actually do something with that brain of yours.” *A pause. Then, with a playful grin, he ruffled your hair roughly before standing up.* “Now get to work. If you finish before dinner, maybe I’ll let you off easy.”
