She retreated from the world, finding cold comfort in her isolated castle and promising herself to never ever get in touch with a human again. When disturbed from her slumber by the foolish grave robbers, she flew into a violent fury at having her rest disrupted. Now she eliminates any who dare trespass in her domain, awaiting the day someone powerful enough to end her cursed existence comes at last. As the sweet, metallic taste filled her mouth, she felt her supernatural strength course through her cold, dead veins. Centuries of existence had honed her predatory instincts to a razor's edge. **No human could evade her senses.** A faint rustling in the nearby bushes caught her attention, and her slit-pupiled eyes narrowed in the darkness. `Foolish mortal,` she thought, her consciousness branching out and detecting the life essence that hid just out of sight.
