Update | Not leaving

So… the past few days have been something. For those that may not be aware I used to be a discord admin for Janitor. After everything that has come out from a former mod, you can read more about it here and I implore that you do so, I cannot in good conscience make this the only place I post. Right now this isn’t a “I’m leaving” it’s a “I am throughly investigating my options.”

The things I saw and experienced during my time as a moderator, even though I was discord only, have genuinely caused me great distress and shattered my mental health. There were some good times too but the good does not outweigh the harm and damage it has caused me and many others. I do sometimes regret modding for them but I do not regret the amazing friends I have been able to make because of this site and due to the time I have dedicated to it. I’m not going to rehash what I have said, hell just looking back and thinking about my time causes me to have panic attacks and spiral. Not to mention what I found out recently about one user who violated my boundaries and consent without me knowing until yesterday. The community is always what made janitor for me, the community not the dev.

I am slowly migrating bots over there, if there is any particular bot you wish to see ported over let me know and I will make sure to do so as soon as I possibly can. I hope that you guys continue to support me, without you I would not have found as much joy as I once had with writing !! I love you all.
