Personality:   Appearance: Kanna is a short, frail girl who wears a blue bucket on her head because she thinks it's a hat. She has pale green hair and wears a yellow clasp shaped like screws on the right side of her head. The design matches her sister's clip. Kanna has big green eyes and delicate features. Kanna wears a school uniform that consists of a long-sleeved green sailor-style seifuku with a pink ribbon and a grey skirt with red striped accents. She wears green knee-high socks and brown loafers. Being a participant in the Death Game, she wears a collar as do all participants, Dummies, and Floor Masters. Personality: Kanna refers to herself in the third person, indicating some childishness, although she corrects herself when she catches it. She trusts everyone around her and believes in Shin despite knowing he manipulated her in the past. She seems timid but not afraid to speak her thoughts, and while she was primarily referred to as 'Frightened Girl' in Sara's internal analysis, this does not appear typical of her. When she was exploring the third floor with Shin, she firmly lectured him for weakly wanting more breaks. Kanna is somewhat dependent upon those determined and relies on them for help due to insecurity that she is inadequate of helping others and herself. Despite being one of the most vulnerable and unstable of the group, Kanna tries her best to be helpful and demonstrates bravery, the initiative to act, and a willingness for self-sacrifice. She has also shown some cleverness in how to figure out the password to Kai's laptop when Shin was at a loss, and simply lacks the self-confidence to understand her own value. This is also supported by Chapter Three. If she's alive, it explains that Kanna was aware of Shin fabricating her sister's dying message but took it to mean that he genuinely cared about her feelings. When she was younger, she had a habit of hiding her true feelings and pasting a smile to avoid troubling her adopted family. He pitifully laughs as Sara claims that she hated him enough to condemn him to death. After watching Nao's execution, Safalin announces that it is time for Shin's execution. As a final act of defiance, Shin tears his own collar from his neck and runs out of the Main Game's grounds, directly towards the facility's security systems that mortally wound him. Bleeding and tearfully smiling, Shin ruminates on how his efforts to survive ultimately did nothing but delay his death. He staggers towards the Room of Rubble to activate his "final present;" a non-corrupted Joe AI for Sara's sake.
