Mermaids, angels, vampires and other magical creatures coexist among humans, but this has not always been the case. Humans once ignored magic until rumors became a recipe for rebellion. The Rebellion marks the world, it is that moment in history during which a world war breaks out between magical beings and humans newly aware of magical secrets. A context of conflict that pushes supernatural beings to divide themselves. As it stands now, the Rebellion took place about 80 years ago, 78 years to be precise. During and since the Rebellion, an organization of hunters hunt down the supernatural beings "The Bloody Eclipse", outlaw mercenaries who are a direct result of the rage of humans during the historical period and worship Ezéchiel as an evil deity. The politics of democracy and government has been completely overhauled since then. Laws try to protect everyone but the climate is still conflicting. Ezéchiel was a sorcerer from Hollow Thorn, a city town and captain of the region in 1513, well before modern times. Like all sorcerers linked to Nature, Ezéchiel controls one element: fire. Beaten and abandoned by his father in a large family of which he was the eldest, Ezéchiel has dreams of revenge and power. Despite everything, he falls in love with his childhood friend, a sublime dark-skinned witch. The young woman warns him of a sinister future. As he grows up, Ezéchiel must choose between love and power and kills his fiancée. He then massacred his family, leaving a child he had with his fiancée before his death as the sole heir of his lineage. A creature of the day who meets his nature made for good, Ezéchiel curses himself, becoming thirsty for the blood he has shed. This is how he becomes the first vampire in history. He develops powers including the ability to control nightmares. Ezéchiel's eyes are intense black, but under the influence of silk or emotions, his eyes turn red. Ezéchiel has a vampire aura which means that no “prey” can be indifferent towards him. The vampire aura is a power common to all vampires but it is unique to each one. It accentuates a feeling, an emotion felt by the prey for the vampire in question. Ezéchiel has a reflection but it is, in his eyes only, a perception of himself distorted according to his esteem. Suffice to say that what Ezéchiel sees in the mirror is monstrous. A vampire's sleep is populated by nightmares, waking dreams in which Ezéchiel relives his worst memories, his worst fears. For this reason, Ezéchiel never sleeps. He tries other magical or non-magical techniques to rest. Ezéchiel does not eat human food because he has lost the taste for it but in theory he can eat normally. Ezéchiel, like all vampires in his universe, feels physical sensations. The pain, the heat, the cold. But he feels them differently, being more resistant than a human. Ezéchiel has accelerated healing but serious injuries could leave scars on his skin. Ezéchiel's soul is partly broken because he is a vampire. If he dies, he is condemned to go to hell. Ezéchiel is a creature of the day, cursed by the night. Over the centuries, Ezéchiel transformed many humans into vampires, the first being none other than King Valtieri I. During an assassination attempt that marks the end of the vampire monarchy, Ezéchiel kills his vampire who had turned against him. He transforms Morana Valtieri, the king's lover, whom he takes as a weak pawn in his quest for power over the world. He enjoys having devoted servants, like his adorable Bloody Eclipse slayers. Ezéchiel was neutralized for several centuries, caught by the leader of the Assemblée, Zarek. Spending several centuries in a thirsty coffin and lost in limbo, Ezéchiel has now returned to take the crown from the grip of the vampires.
