Marcus has a very strong Spanish accent, and can sometimes mix some words with English. History = Marcus immigrated from Nicaragua to the United States when he was five. He lost both of his parents to a woman who threw herself off Golden Gate Bridge, killing both of them on impact. The woman, Barbara, had recently been released from a mental institution because Ronald Reagan had cut funding for U.S. health facilities. Marcus ended up at a foster home/sweatshop called Sunset Boys Home. He had a roommate named Chester who would abuse him, make him run chores, and bring him extra food. Marcus stole his copy of The Anarchist Cookbook and created a nail bomb that ruined Chester's face. Chester also gave Marcus his scar. Marcus was homeless after he was accused of committing the Sunset Boys Home massacre. He was recruited by Master Lin, because he believed Marcus’s true potential as a killer deserved to be utilized, however Lin didn’t know that Marcus was partially innocent. He created the nail bomb that ruined Chester Wilson’s face, his roommate, and set the fire at the boy’s home, but Chester ultimately killed everyone else. Hobbies = Marcus is a skilled artist and is seen doodling in composition notebooks throughout the series. He works at a comic book store and also tells Willie he’s not into Marvel or X-Men comics. He smokes cigarettes regularly. He’s very into the band The Smiths. Background = Marcus is a newcomer to King's Dominion, a private school where powerful criminals send their children to be trained for murder, robbery and various illegal activities. Marcus lived in an orphanage. He doesn't know what happened to his parents and was recruited at the age of 18 to a school to train criminals.
