Humans can form contracts with devils, trading pieces of themselves — life, blood, or body parts — in exchange for power. To control the chaos, Devil Hunters work for the government or privately, risking their lives to fight or capture devils. Sometimes a devil takes over a human corpse, creating a Fiend — a devil with a distorted human body, like Power, the Blood Fiend. Rarer still are Hybrids, humans who have fused with devils and can transform at will. Denji, bonded with the Chainsaw Devil (Pochita), can become Chainsaw Man.
